As artists, we often fear sharing things before they’re 'perfect,' and that stops us from sharing anything at all. I wanted to break that cycle," she says.

"I realised that the most important thing I could do as an artist is to just be Amber. That’s what I believe everyone is meant to do—just be themselves. Especially with AI coming in and doing all sorts of things we thought we’d be doing. If AI can do everything else, the one thing it can’t do is be us. We are our unique essence, and that’s all we have. It’s such a gift, and I’m here for it."

Building the Show: A Collective Effort

One of the most striking aspects of Real-Time Revelations is the sense of collaboration and love that went into creating it. Amber speaks with a deep sense of gratitude when discussing her team—many of whom came into her orbit just when they were needed most.

"The show really came together because of the incredible people around me," Amber shares. "My director, who is also my partner, really helped make everything happen. He knows me better than anyone, and that’s crucial when you’re telling such an intimate story. It’s been a collective effort—friends, collaborators, and even my mum, who helped with props. Every part of the show reflects the love and passion of the people who contributed to it."

One particularly notable element of the show is the stunning use of costumes—many of which Amber received as gifts from artists around the world. "I’ve been so fortunate to receive costumes and pieces from creatives across the globe," Amber explains. "Rather than buying them, I showcase the work of other artists and help share their creations too. It's about giving back and showing love for the people who inspire me."

Moreover, Amber incorporated cutting-edge 3D visuals into the show, an artistic choice that came together when a friend—who also plays in a band with Amber—offered to help. "He was working on 3D design for fun, and when I mentioned that I was doing a multimedia cabaret show, he jumped right in. He didn’t just design shapes—he worked with me to capture the meaning behind the visuals, making sure they resonated with the show’s themes," Amber says.

The 3D visuals, which included a CGI version of Amber herself, added a layer of depth to the experience, allowing the audience to see Amber not just as a performer but as an evolving character in the digital space.

Amber’s journey began in a place many of us can relate to: the moment when she realised the vastness of space and her place in it. "I was about 11 or 12 when I first had that realisation that we’re in space," Amber shares. "It just hit me, and it kind of changed my whole outlook on life. I was like, 'Wait—am I the only one seeing this? Why is everyone so fine with this?'"

For Amber, this existential epiphany became a pivotal moment in her creative evolution. While others seemed to go about their lives unbothered by the fact that we’re all floating through space on a rock, Amber couldn’t shake the magnitude of it. This experience became a foundation for her art—an art that would later weave together the cosmic with the deeply personal.

"My dad was a huge support in that phase of my life," she recalls. "We would sit and talk about the stars all the time. That was such an important grounding for me. I think that's when it all started—the exploration of who we are in this big universe."

What’s Next for Amber?

After the success of Real-Time Revelations, Amber is focused on music production, with plans to release new songs from the show over the next few months. "I’m heading into a music-writing and producing era," she says. "I want to release some of the songs you’ve heard in the show, and hopefully drop a mini EP by the middle of the year."

Amber is also planning to take Real-Time Revelations on the road in 2024, with the intention of launching a nationwide tour. However, the next iteration of the show will include a live video series, with each performance filmed as part of the creative process. "I’m so excited to bring it to a wider audience. I’ve always wanted to document the process of creating art, and this feels like the perfect way to share the journey."

While she’s focused on her music and upcoming projects, Amber hasn’t lost sight of her deeper mission: to connect with her audience through her truth. "This whole experience has taught me that if you’re truly yourself, people will connect with that," she says. "That’s what Real-Time Revelations is all about—just sharing my truth and inviting others to share theirs."
